Gwynne Building

The building was financed by Cornelius Vanderbilt II and was named after his wife, Alice Gwynne Vanderbilt. The building was the corporate headquarters of P&G starting in 1935, and the company remained there until they built a new building in 1956 a block away.

Unique FeaturesThe building has decorative grillwork over the windows on floors 4-9 that has the initials "G" and "V" incorporated in them in reference to the Gwynne and Vanderbilt families.
