St. Peter in Chains Cathedral
It was the second permanent cathedral built in the US. As the downtown population changed in the 1930s and attendance declined, the archdiocesan functions moved to Fairview. However, cathedral renovations began in 1951, and it was rededicated in 1957 as the seat of the Cincinnati Archdiocese.
